Chalky’s is different. We’re a bar, but also a pool hall, and also a karaoke lounge, and a sports bar with the biggest screen on the beaches. PLUS we have the coolest private bar this side of the bridge.

Step up and run the venue when the Head of Operations & Senior Bar Manager need you to.
Keep the Super Duper Screen engaging. Work with the team to make sure we’re playing the right sports at the right time, and if there’s nothing on, chuck on a classic movie.
Oversee karaoke room and pool table transitions — especially on busy nights.
Be the person your team looks up to — positive, fair, calm, hands-on.
Bring out the best in your crew through coaching, training, and culture-building.
Celebrate wins, address issues early, and keep communication open.
Help manage training, development, and keep morale sky-high.
Make every guest feel welcome — learn their names and their favourite drinks.
Sort out any customer issues with professionalism and warmth.

Support game days, beer launches, themed nights, and other events that keep Chalky’s buzzing.
Offer weekly content ideas to marketing (we love behind-the-scenes bits).
Represent Chalky’s and Bucketty’s with pride at local community events.

Availability to work nights and weekends

Casual, up to 10-15 hours a week
We're looking for help on the floor during busy Friday, Saturday and Sunday shifts. The job includes clearing glasses, tables and ensuring the venue is spick and span.
You don't need experience, but you do need to be ready to work. We'll train you and give you all the tools you need to succeed as part of our team. Work hard and apply yourself and we'll look after you, providing plenty of opportunity.
